Los Doctores Espejo han publicado una nueva técnica quirúrgica de reconstrucción de lesiones multiligamentosas en la revista Arthroscopy techniques, la revista de técnicas de la Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA).
La técnica quirúrgica en cuestión fue diseñada por los Dres. Espejo para la reconstrucción del ligamento cruzado anterior (LCA) en conjunto con el ligamento lateral externo (LLE) utilizando sólo un injerto autólogo y con un solo túnel en el fémur, lo que resulta
especialmente útil en lesiones multiligamentarias, evitando un número excesivo de perforaciones que debilite el hueso.
